So the '80's front end is together, about to land the engine and get her off her high horse.
I used Energy Poly bushing, along with that God-awful goo grease.
Is there an optimal position to perform the final torque?
I've replaced too many back 40 years ago in the front end shop I worked, and still remember the center sleeve teeth locking between the shaft and the end cap/washer. There was an optimal position that I have forgotten.
The poly's are baffling as they not only don't lock, but are greased up.
I'm sure there's a theory, it just escapes me.
Thanks!
