Although I'm 90 yrs old i'm still active. My son recently gave my grand son his Scotsdale stepside . It's been on parked since 1997 and only has 85k, it's a very basic 6 cylinder 3 speed, power brakes and steering, straight body and no rust, we are in Merced Ca. Over the years I've owned so many vehicles I can't remember them all, we are going bring it back to the state it was in in 1997, him working, me supervising, wish us luck. Jim

Hi

1984 GMC truck

What piece(s) am I missing to have my steering wheel cover to stay in place?
see pics

The "teeth" don't have anything to grab onto.  truck doesn't sell original steering wheels, so I can't see what I am missing.

Any help is appreciated.

Tons of factory 73-87 hub caps on eBay and such, but I never see these “wheel covers.” Anyone?

Im building a 383 with a eagle 383 stroker kit. Im getting .002 on the connecting rod bearing using plastic gauge but want to have .0025 to .003 to be able to run 15w40. This measurement is with the king bearing with the extra .0001 clearance using the upper and lower bearing. What can be done to achieve the extra clearance or am i ok to run 15w40 rotella diesel oil with .002. Could i mix undersized bearings maybe. Please help

85 K10 383 Vortec Stroker - Converting to Atomic EFI  - Fuel delivery questions:

I in unfamiliar territory here. I've eliminated my mechanical fuel pump and am trying to determine the best way to get fuel delivered. The options I'm aware of are:

1. Keep my original tanks but add an in-tank fuel pump that goes to a sump that then goes to the fuel rail/tbi unit

2. Get new tanks/pumps that are designed for EFI conversions

what other options are out there? im sure im missing something. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
