i am running that cam with stock vortecs edelbrock rpm intake, and edelbrock 600 carb, long tube headers with flows the engine is very torkey and it turns quick no lag at all.3500 stall with 3.08 gears at 30mph i can drop it to first bust the tires loose and smokem through second no prob.very nice combination.

Ive ran the comp xtreme 4x4 cam 270/278 duration 1800-6000rpm very torqy and strong midrange liked to be shifted at 5500 with 3.73 gears and 35"tires.Idle noticable not to rad though.Good cam though but i stepped up just cuz i love a choppy idle extreme energy 284/296 and changed gears to 4.56 and intake from rpm airgap to victor junior.Much better and the torque is still there but im sure the converter helps 3600tci.
