I have an 89 Crew cab dually and I am putting a 6" lift on, I want to run the Humvee 37x12.50r 16.5 MT tires, but the only dually 16.5 steel rims I can find new are only 6.75 wide. Is it possible to mount them? I know I will have to get spacers between the DRW's. I am sure the outer sides of the tire will not site flat on the ground and the tires will wear prematurely. I have found on e-bay and craigslist some old RV 16.5x8.75 rims, but are usually in bad shape. Anyone have any pictures?
Thanks Sarge

If the rims are bent, that can be repaired. If they have a little rust, they can be painted, so don't be too skeptical if they look rough. I'd run a lower pressure in the tires so they wore more evenly; it won't help much, but any help is better than none...
