I have a 1973 chevy C10,when I open the passenger door everything is fine, but when I go to close the door about half way the door stops and as im pushing the door close it makes a knocking sound then the door close's without any problem.anybody have any idea what my door is doing and how to fix it?
Thank you guy's for your time.

Look at the door check spring and hinges including pins and bushings.
-
Spray some lithium grease on the door check rollers and spring (really a bent piece of round metal). The spring needs to slide and the rollers must roll freely. Otherwise you hear a lot of popping as it moves.

I sprayed the hinges and those rollers and still getn that popping sound.I guess the only thing to do is replace the pins and wheels.

You can replace the hinges altogether.
