I used 95-97 dodge viper blue. It has that hot rod blue quality about it and looks beautiful on these body styles.

That is a gorgeous color! Just, wow.  I can kind of picture that in a purple tone. I like it.

Here is the purpleish shade of it. It was called Sapphire Blue Metallic. I didn't like it once I saw it in the sun.

It is pretty good paint. The clear coat lays down really nice.

Ughh. I wish there was a more purpleish color. I dont want a plum purple, but like, a deep purple. If you know what I mean?
Purple like THIS, purple.

That's a great site Ace, Looks like they have a pretty good selection of colors, and priced right. That's a great deal on those kits.  Did you paint your own? and if so did you have to reduce the paint any.

Rob..

The kit came with all reducer needed. I painted my own in my back yard chasing off squirrels and bugs.

Don't paint a truck for a girlfriend, the next one might not like the color ;)

Post up a pic of your truck so we can see what you're working with.

This is the truck. I got real sick of the brown, so I went down to walmart and bought 6 cans of spray paint for 20 bucks and changed it to an army green just until I can do the body work and primer.

And here is the majority of the truck painted. I pretty much finished all of the tight spaces and what not.

This will get me by for now. I'm happy with the color.
