Vacuum Line at Heater Controls
« on: March 17, 2006, 12:59:00 PM »
On my 87 Scottsdale 350, there are 5 or 6 small vacuum lines attached to the  htr/ac control panel. One of them has a gray stripe and is supposed to hook up to the vacuum tank according to my manual. It's been cut as it comes thru the fire wall, and I need to get a length to add to it, but I'm not sure how it attaches to the vacuum tank. The ports on the tank are bigger than the small line. Is there an adapter? Instead of adding to the line, it would probably be better to run a new line, huh?

You could just put a rubber vacuum line over the hard plastic line and then to the vacuum tank.

Of course,a new line is always best.
