maybe something like a 305/50/20/ on a 20x10 rim would give me that aggressive street look 275/45/20 on 20x8.5 up front with factory rake

i seen HAULIN IT ride pics ......this is that is the look i want .i want them tucked under ,but i want atleast a 18' rim .my questions are ; what tire (streetable ) size and rim size to use ? how much wider do i need to make my fac wheel wells ? usinng a 2" drop in rear with stock rear end .i seen these Mickey Thompson #672-6626
Sportsman S/R Radial
31'' x 18''R - 20''LT or Mickey Thompson #672-6687
Sportsman S/R Radial
33'' x 22''R - 18''LT

i had an idea since these tires use a 15-16" wide rim ,i was thinking of mybe using an offroad XD type rim 20x 14  to mount these on with 20x 9 up front .these are alot cheaper than getting a custom set of raceline wheels that can cost 500+ per wheel ......if this was to work i think my chevy would be the sickest c10 around ..imagine this raked c10 on staggered 20" XD rockstars or monster wheels

For a tire about the size of the 325/50's (11 1/2" tread width?) you wouldn't have to alter anything...just need careful backspace measuring & the outside will be rather close to the inside of the bedside panel if you have the truck lowered a bunch. With only a 2" drop, you won't have any trouble since the bulge won't be up inside the bedside.
With the wheelwells moved back to the springs, you can gain another 1 1/2". To get something like those Mickey's you mentioned, moving the springs out of the way will be required.
To each his own...but none of those Rockstar wheels do ANYTHING for me, not even on a 4x4, guess I'm getting old ;) Lorne

so that pic of ur truck with the bags of soil or something .how much drop do u have .i want mine to fit like yours before the 9"upgrade ....i just want my rear tires huge and tucked a little under the rear fenders ...15x 12 on 325/50 or 20x 12on 305/50/20 .i mean honestly since i seen ur pics and the 9" upgrade my mind has been wide open with options for my truck . if my 10 bolt dont hold up ,a 9 "upgrade will be put on the list .i wont mess with them M/T then because i don't plan on moving the springs

In those pictures it's on the snubbers! :o  I came home from work to find the wife found a sale on mulch, potting soil or whatever. There was about 2" of clearance normally without the weight in the bed.
I'm not really sure how much drop it would take to look like that...probably 6" anyway.
I started with a 2" drop shackle then removed the perches on the frame & dropped the frame down until the rear spring eye about hit the bed floor, jacked the front perches up until I got the pinion angle ok & drilled the holes & bolted in the perches. This was good for something around 4"-4 1/2"...If you want it to look like it does in the pic's with the soil, your going to need a flip to start.
I'm pretty happy with the way it sits now, which is about the same as in those other pictures...but it's not on the snubbers.;) Lorne
