91 grill swap, remove front end?
« on: August 30, 2006, 10:18:00 PM »
I'm in the middle of a deal with a guy, hoping to get his 91 core support and grill setup, and want to put this on my 86.
I am not home, so I can't look at my truck, will be out of town for another week, my question is, What will I need tyo remove to install my new core support and grill? Do the fenders/hood need to come off?
thx

Check out www.hillshotrods.com and look at some of the projects they've done with the conversion. I would say that it would be a good idea to pull apart the entire front end, just to make it easier to line up and install. Also, you can align the fenders and hood better after they install if you do so during the re-installation. Good luck!

you don't need to take off anything but the grille and core support

I think these links should be put in the tech section. This subject comes up a lot.
