  • Family is not an important thing. It's everything.
Going off my other post about what size lift will fit what size tires. I wanted to give those of you guys that for some reason drop your trucks  ;), a post to do the same thing as we did. I don’t know the first thing when it comes to dropping a truck. So I’m just going to edit the post as people reply. But I guess what I need from those that have dropped their trucks is to say what you have done (drop, C-notch or whatever you guys do) and what size tires you can fit. Post pictures also

Bell Tech 5”/ 7” drop, Flip kit.  Bonspeed Wheels –  20x8 Front, 22x8 Rear.  Bought truck this way.  No known clearance issues however fully shimmed upper control arm but need more to reach correct camber.  I understand I will need to get offset upper control arm shafts to fix this issue.

  • You've been mostly-dead all day.
5"/8" drop.  2" drop spindle + 3" drop Eibach springs up front.  Flip kit + 2" drop spindles/ frame notch rear.  Belltech Nitro drop shocks all around.  15" rims with 245/60R15 tires up front and 16" rims with 255/65R16 tires rear.

I know this is an old thread and you might not have the truck anymore but I'm fixing to drop my 86 c10. Curious if you liked the western chassis drop and how it rode? Thanks!

yes I still have this truck, it is the "73-87chevytrucks.com" truck.  full thread is here: http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php/topic,12120.0.html

Truck rides well, currently about 40K on the suspension, 47K since the LS swap.
I use Western pretty much for all rear drops because they make rear drop springs.  The front is just a spindle, so technically anyones will work, but I just get it all from one place when I can.  Good shocks make a difference too.

Ok great thanks. I looked through your build. Lol way more info than I expected and love the twin turbski setup. I'd like to ls swap mine after this suspension but I'm thinking about just dropping a t56 in with my 400sb for awhile. I need the extra gears that the old  350turbo isn't giving me. Thanks for the reply. This is my 86.
