1980 C10 Stepside General Questions

Hello all, new to the forums... 1st post! 

I just picked up my 1st C10, a 1980 stepside that has a GREAT body(no dents & 99% rust free), terrible paint, terrible interior & a wore out 350. This is just what I was looking for, a budget project truck! With that said, I have a couple questions:

1. I will be ordering a replacement bumper, but I need the mounting brackets, which I cant find. Most sites sell the 60s - 70s stepside brackets, but not for 1980. Will this brackets work & if not, where can I find some?

2. My truck has (once nice) custom seats w/ console. I want a plain vinyl bench seat for as cheap as possible, any ideas?

3. The hood is near perfectly straight, it just has a ever so slight bow in the mid area. The only thing I can think of is that I need to adjust the hinges so that it will sit properly, thoughts on the bow?

Welcome, one suggestion is to not buy anything from that company you tried to mention.  This site sells what you need, click on the tab above marked store

Thanks for the reply. Does "that company" have poor quality parts or overpriced etc? Just wondering, because this site had a different looking stepside bumper. Maybe I missed something.

I have personally seen some of the junk they sell.  I have heard they have poor customer service but you get what you pay for.

What does your bumper look like?
I currently don't have a supplier for the factory stepside bumpers.
