Bucket Seat conversion
« on: May 17, 2017, 04:09:39 PM »
I bet I'm beating a dead horse here, but I wanna put bucket seats in my 79 Suburban. I just wanna be clear before I drop some cash on some seats.

If I am reading this correctly, I need to get seats out of another suburban or a crew cab. Blazers/Jimmys have a flat floor, and regular cabs have that rear shelf so they won't work. Ideally, I want the high-back seats which came in 77 and newer trucks.

And I will also need those "A" tabs, 4 of them? I saw on another thread some links of them for sale, but those pages have since been moved. I couldn't find them online so does anyone know where I can get them? I am not skilled enough to make them myself, or at least I don't trust myself to make them safe enough. Or can I just grind those tabs out of the donor truck and re-weld them in my suburban?

Thanks

You can actually get any seat you want...you just have to fabricate the the bases...I have done that in several trucks.  :)
