Air Suspension installers?
« on: March 16, 2005, 08:16:00 PM »
Am getting ready to install Air Bagit air suspension on 76 C10 Stepside.  Anyone had experience with this kind of installation?  Would appreciate critique of of pro's and con's and what to look out for in this conversion.

I highly recommend AirLift or AirRide for airbag components.
www.airliftcompany.com or www.ridetech.com

Although, I made my own.

The bags that came with my kit are large like AirLift units.  How do you like the ride on your truck with air?

I sold the truck, so I can't say.  N2TRUX is on air here.  It rides really nice from his description.

Helped install AirBagIt system on my 76 C10 Stepside.  Almost completed today.  Had to do quite a bit of fabrication and welding.  Thankfully the mechanic that helped me loved doing that kind of work.  Have not driven it yet, but will report on the change.  Mechanic was welding on the panhard bar this evening.  I have to finish most of the wiring.  Air pump supplied with kit gets plenty hot.  Hope it is big enough.  Looking forward to driving.
