brake line fittings
« on: July 28, 2017, 12:42:45 PM »
So I blow a brake hose on my 77 k10, while removing it the line feeding it collapsed and broke. I pretty much expected that. My question is, it took a 14 mm wrench to remove the fitting Are the threads also metric? The threads measure .368 so I'm thinking they're 3/8" thread. can someone confirm it so I don't waste more time and money...

in 78 they switch from a 7/16 banjo to the 10mm banjo.

You are correct it is 3/8-24 and I have always wondered why you need a 14mm to remove fitting. I will have to look that up sometime.
