Morning Folks,
I'm finally getting back to this project. I need to replace the master brake cylinder and my locale parts place informs me it is one of two different parts, and to check my service ID, but said service ID sticker be worn out.
Can I figure this out from a photo or my VIN?
Spec are:
1981 GMC 2500 Sierra Grande Camper Special
Breakdown of my VIN (2GTGC 24MXB 1551 1672) gives me the following:
2GT = Canada and GMC
G = Range & break System = 8001-9000 Hydraluic
C = 2 Wheel Drive
2 = 3/4 Ton
4= 2 Door Cab
M = 350 V8 Heavy Duty
X =
B = 1981
1551672 = Production Assembly Number
