Dually rear end disc?
« on: October 17, 2017, 06:35:06 PM »
Does anyone know what was the first year GM offered disc brakes on a dually rear end? I'm looking to do an upgrade on an 80's dually and need a donor to work from.

Not sure

But there are several companies that offer disc conversion kits for a reasonable price

Offroad design, ruffstuff, and other sells rear disc conversation kits. You will loose your parking brake. Unless you do Cadillac eldardo calipers. Or somewhere 2003 or 2004 when Chevy started rear disc in rear. Then could do parking brake,  I could be off on years but somewhere in there.

Thanks for the info. I know any way I go I'll need to fab it to make it work. Im concerned if I go with a conversion kit that will pads, calipers, and rotors be readily available or will I have to stay with that company for replacement parts.
