Cell phone charger question
« on: April 24, 2017, 02:40:50 PM »
In all of my trucks I've always had issues with when charging a cell phone it interferes with the radio. Has anyone came up with a solution to this? I'm in my 02 right now and still have this issue

I had a similar issue but with bluetooth. I ended up resetting all my bluetooth and network preferences and be sure wifi connection wasnt attempted on open networks. Ive never had an issue with charging.

You need to check your grounds and or add auxiliary grounds. Make sure wires are not routed near or parallel to any other electrical devices or ignition system. Make sure you don't have a cheap charger. Try someone else's and see if it still does it.

Have bluetooth and Ipods connected to Pioneer head units in both of my square bodies and charge my phone via the cigarette lighter.  Never had an interference issue.
