Hi everyone, I have a 74c10 , when I put it in reverse it jerks kinda hard does anyone know what it could be , any input would be appreciated

A few possibilities: the idle RPM is set too high; worn u-joints; sheared transmission mount or missing bolts; cumulative drivetrain wear in the transmission, differential and/or drive axle splines; really loose spring shackles and/or u-bolts. The net effect of excess drivetrain wear is a rapid rotational acceleration of the driveline as torque is applied, which then comes to an abrupt stop when the drivetrain play is taken up, usually resulting in a bang that is sometimes accompanied by the vehicle lurching forward or backward.
