Will this grille fit?

Can anyone tell me whether this grille will fit my 1979 K20 Scottsdale pickup?  It has a billet aftermarket grille on it now, so I can't tell.  Thanks!

There is a latch at the top center of the grille.

is there a hole in the top center of this new grill? think the 75-80 grills interchange and that one looks like an 80. wait till someone else chimes in but it appears it will

Looks like the one on my 78'. Different from the one on my 80'. Are you selling the truck or just the grill?

I meant if the grille does not fit my truck, I shouldn't have any trouble getting my money back out of the grille.

pretty sure it will fit an '79. what did you pay for it?

When I bought my '78 it was pitted and faded, so I used sandable primer to fill, sanded it out smooth with 400 grit, and used a metallic silver wheel paint, new bowtie, kind of tedious but worth it. Used the same paint around the headlights.

She looks like she was just unwrapped 40 years ago. Lots of compliments.

Going to do the same on the '80, will post before and after, she's a long way off from done...

I haven't got it yet.  It's 1.5 hours from me.  Just so happens work takes me through that town the end of the month, so I'm planning on making a pit stop unless someone snags it up before me.  He said its been sitting in his shed for the last 15 years.  Wants $50 for it.  Seems like a pretty good find.  That's why I say even if it turns out not to fit my truck, I can re-sell it and get my money back (maybe even make a buck or two).

It should fit your truck. Does your latch have a cable that runs to your cab for release? If not, the worst thing would be to cut out one bar for a finger access for latch release. If the grill is in perfect condition without any broken attachments, then $50 is a reasonable price...especially with the emblem included. If it is already sold by the time you get there no worries as reproductions of the oem grill are available...those bowtie emblems can be expensive though.

No cable, but that grille already has a bar missing where the latch would be, so I think it's a winner.    wants $40 for the grille and $70 for the emblem.  I'll bet there are people out there that would pay a premium for a very nice OEM grille over a reproduction, but I'm just looking to get rid of this hideous billet POS that is zip-tied to the front of my truck.  Thanks for your input.

Gotta say, repros are not that great, sorry.

I ordered a chrome one, horrible fake plastic with sketchy spotty plastic 'chrome' paint.

And no mounting for the Bowtie, was told 'sorry', Chinese don't understand...

Mine was missing a bar, broke by someone long ago. I called it my bucktooth truck.

Happy ending was the Sino-grill bars were/are a very close repro.

So I cut one out, and using 16 ga. guy wire behind it for reinforcement, plastic welded it into my original. Old MacGyver's Rule!

If yours is a similar bucktooth, I saved some of the plastic wonder in case. Will send if needed.
