transmission
« on: January 18, 2013, 08:07:54 AM »
I am waiting on my 73 c20 Cheyenne camper special to be delivered. My question is; what auto transmission comes stock w/ this truck. I decoded the vin, but that doesn't elaborate on the drivetrain.

More than likely a Turbo 400

What about the engine. The vin decodes a 350-4 as opposed to a 350-2. What does this mean? If this means that I have a 350 4 bolt main then how is this engine different than a 2 bolt main. I know that this may be a no brainer, but I am quite ignorant when it comes to these types of specifications. Thanks in advance for any insight.

350-4 in the vin decodes that it has a 4 barrel carburetor as opposed to the 2 barrel that did come on some of the lighter duty trucks
