old bolts...

does anyone know how hard it is to remove the spring to eye bolts on leaf springs? they look pretty hard to get off. Should i use a torch? 79' C20

You should be able to put a 1/2 inch drive ratchet on it, maybe w/ a long pipe slipped over the handle.  I have a 3/4 inch drive set i am sure that baby will come off w/ that.

If you still have trouble, it woldn't hurt to heat that puppy up.

just keep the garden hose handy,  the bushings have a way of catching on fire with a torch.  but like the Sarg. said a little rust bust spray and a large pipe usually works,  just watch the knuckles.

Really, other than getting them broken loose, I have never had any trouble at all getting them to come out with anything but a small hammer and a punch.
