I had to make up turn signals in blue to match since the cluster doesn't come with signal indicator lamps for the factory location.

IT'S ALIVE!!! Picked up some CAM2, put 5 gallons in, filled the fluids, turned the key Vroom! I forgot how sick this thing sounds  :D I'd have to look back to see when the last time it ran was... How time flies

Lots of work to do still but knowing that the wiring harness came out perfect, nothing is leaking, and everything works put a smile on my face tonight. By this weekend I will finally be able to pull it in and out of the shop and off of the lift if I need it.

Life's little milestones have their rewards.  It's got to feel good!   :D

What's next?

How about a sound bite of that motor?   8)

Sound bite won't do it justice but I will try. I've still got a lot of work to do but getting to this point while working 12+ hour days has been a challenge. I've got to finish wiring up some stuff this weekend and will take pics.

Dropped my exhaust off for coating today. I'm having the exhaust high temp coated to match the headers. Hopefully in a week or two I'll have it back on the truck. Gotta bleed the brakes again since I had to replace the master. I went to pressure bleed it and the seal blew out.

My buddy is making me a new cooling fan shroud for the E-fan to fit the new radiator. I could have made the old one work but I'll just use it on the Blazer instead.

So second one of these: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tff-2132na

and still same issue. Pedal goes right to the floor although they claim it's perfect for disc disc setups. I decided to try a master from a 2002 Silverado and it's perfect although nowhere near as pretty. I'm going to keep searching but in the meantime this will allow me to stop at least!

The 4 link setup and shaving the firewall looks sweet. Keep up with the good work.

Thanks,

Picked up my exhaust from getting coated. Came out nice and matches the headers now.

Thanks Rich. Here's some updates... swapped out the rear calipers to 78 Cadillac style.

Got the exhaust back on after having it coated.

Then I polished out the valve covers since they looked dull. I did the ones for the green machine too but I'll post those pics in that thread.

Amongst many other things I got done this weekend. Slowly but surely... Need to get a different alternator and upper bracket as well still.

3 letters: wow. If that doesn't make a magazine article when you are ready to debut it, I don't know what will! Dig the reflection of the vc's in the firewall. What kind of rear shocks are those?

I'm hoping it has the wow factor when it's done. Not looking for anything too silly in this build just attention to detail and uniqueness in a streetable powerhouse. It's getting there! These are the shocks with the 4 link http://www.romicmfg.com/products/products.html
