Friday, October 9th, 2013: Ordered a Walbro F90000267 pump from Andy at http://www.squashperformance.com/

Monday, October 14th, 2013: Pump got here, now I just need to get it connected to the factory sending unit.

Saturday, October 19th, 2013: pulled the EP381 pump out and replaced it with a Walbro 255lph pump from my brothers turbo truck (we updated it to the above 430lph pump also)  that made up to 600rwhp hoping to solve a fuel delivery problem.

Monday, October 21st, 2013: They put it back on the dyno and it is still running out of fuel, but instead of dropping to 0lbs it is dropping to 20 at the fuel rail.

Tuesday, October 22, 2013: went back to the Dyno shop and installed an inline pressure tester and was getting 70lbs at the tank outlet but still only 50 at the fuel rail.

Wednesday, October 23rd, 2013: went back to the dyno shop and moved the inline tester to after the fuel filter.  Pressure at the rail and there matched, but still saw a pressure drop at high rpms in neutral.  Replaced the regulator with a new one with no change.

Saturday, October 26th, 2013:Went back to the dyno shop to determine the issue.  Took enough braided line to bypass the filter and a new filter just in case.  After getting everything pulled apart to bypass the filter I went to unbolt the inlet side and found an issue.  Proceeded to pull it completely off and noticed some off-color tint.  Grabbed a napkin and below is what I found.  Apparently in my haste to get this going I replaced all the fuel lines but not the filter.

After getting the new filter on the initial pressure drop (not surprisingly) wasn't as bad, so reconnected the gauges and It was reading 50 at the pump and at the fuel rail.   Then went to rip on it and it still was dropping but not as bad.  We made a few changes to the fuel curve and it got somewhat better (we were dumping a lot of gas due to the previous lean condition) but it still was dropping to 30lbs right when the turbos were trying to spool (in neutral).  Check voltage at the pump and it was reading a steady 12.4, and went to 12.6 at high rpm, but I ran out of time.

Next on the agenda find my spare fuel rail, clean it out and then swap everything over on the truck and either finish up ordering the stuff for the 430 mounting and hotwire kit, or the double pumper and hotwire or both, just in case.

Saturday, November 2nd, 2013:  pulled out my spare Fuel rail and spent time cleaning it all out and then pulled the rail off the truck pulled the injectors and cleaned all of them out.  Reinstalled everything and now instead of 52lbs and the rail it is now reading 80lbs, so I swapped out the regulator with the one on the original rail, found some junk behind it and cleaned it out and reinstalled, still had 80lbs of pressure and the rear was pegged (guage goes to 60)  Reving it up in neutral it dropped to 60 at the rail but didn't push it.  James said he would put it on the dyno and recheck it..

Monday, November 11th, 2013: http://hensonperformance.com/ called me and said he got it on the dyno and at 4500rpms the pressure drops to 45lbs and then the motor just dies.  In addition it still has 80lbs of pressure at idle.  I told him I would come by and see if the return line is clogged.

Wednesday, November 13th, 2013: Went back to http://hensonperformance.com/, removed the return line and blew it out, NOTHING.  Removed the regulator and found a ripped o-ring, replaced the o-ring and then re-installed.  Cranked it up and now I have 96lbs!  So there has to be a restriction in the supply side.  Removed the line from the return side of the tank and cranked it up.  Still had high pressure on the rail...  I am wondering if the flex hose in front of the filter is blocked.  Next plan for Saturday is to eliminate that line.

Saturday, November 16th, 2013: Went back to http://hensonperformance.com and removed all of the fuel line from the filter to the rail to determine where my blockage was.  Bypassing all of this still got no change in the pressure front or rear ran out of time but I have a plan.

Sunday, November 17th, 2013: Went back to http://hensonperformance.com got another regulator and replaced it with the same high pressure results, so I am not determined that it is the return side with issues.  Removed the return line from the tank and dropped it in a gas can where you can see.  Found the problem!  No gas was coming out but a drip.  Pulled the rail loose and blew threw the return and the metal line was stopped up completely.  Put it all back together and now the pressure it at 50lbs and I couldn't get it to drop.  Hopefully he can make a pull on it now...

Tuesday, November 19th, 2013: After a month we have the fuel sorted out enough to get the truck on the dyno at hensonperformance.com and do the Speed Density Tune for drivability.  Still dropping fuel pressure, but we were able to pull to 6000rpms.  Truck made 450.1hp @ 5100 and 500.6lb/ft at 4300 with 7.7lbs of boost all while spinning the single leg on the drum.  Now I can get it back swap in the limited slip 3.42 axle, install the caltracs and get the bed put on and figure out the fuel filler and eventually install the 430 Walbro.

Here is the Video of the pull.

Thanks!  I fear it is getting louder, but you can barely hear it in the video.

So, I'm not good with math but with my shoes of I'm guessing just under or right at 500hp at the crank? Now the question is are you going to stop there or try and squeeze a little more out, Chris? Oh and it does sound great and I'm not sure if there is a such thing as too loud, but I guess that goes in the daily driver question of how much is too much which is always different depending on whose driving and what you are willing to live with. But with the bed on and without the acoustics from the door behind it I think it's going to sound sweet. There's nothing like hearing that whistle of turbos spinning up.
Never had an experience with dyno's but will kicking both drums around show better numbers?

The drivetrain is probably eating about 80hp.  If the wheel wasn't spinning it would probably have a different curve maybe more power.
Since this is a completely stock LQ4 that I never opened up I am going to be conservative with it.  It is currently giving 7.7lbs of boost, I probably won't go over 10lbs, but I need the bigger pump in it first.  If I can get near 550hp I will stop.

Tuesday November 26th, 2013: Sourced some trailer towing lights and set out to pick up the truck.  Had to go by and find a belt as the dyno session ate it.  Took 3 trips to find one.  After getting it on and cracking it I found it was too long.  Upon further inspection I found the tension was toast..

Wednesday November 27th, 2013:  Had to completely rebuild the Tensioner from 2 different tensioners as I didn't have time to file down the back of another good one.  This is after sourcing and aftermarket one that wouldn't work.  Got it all on and and got the towing lights working and got it home.

Saturday, November 30th, 2013: Put the bumper back on the truck to have a tag, and set out to get the speedometer set.  Simple task with Dakota's and I put a few miles on it.  Got all the necessary tools to install the bed.  Due to the Blazer tank you HAVE to notch the bed sill.  Once that was done, with the help of my wife we got it set it on and ready for a photo op.  Ran out of daylight so bed isn't bolted down.

quick pic of the notch before cleaning it up.

Last chance to see these...

Monday, December 2nd, 2013: Got the final bed nut tightened and took a few pictures out in the field.  From about 20 feet away you can't really tell anything is going on from the side, well apart from the intercooler in the front, but...

Got busy mounting the Aftermarket Grill (have a billet one, but it needs to be notched to clear the intercooler) install.  It now has an identity crisis.  I also got my hotwire kit and new sending unit wiring to mount the Walbro 430 pump on the stock hanger.

Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013: captured a picture of the truck before leaving for the day.  I sure haved missed driving it.  I have driven only it for the past 2 days.
