Post by: jason_wesley on August 12, 2018, 09:09:56 PM
hey guys first off im new to the site so thanks for letting my dumb butt tag along and try to learn something....im starting a fresh project ...76 lwb high sierra...havent even started the tear down yet jus doing due dilligence in research thus far. im a paint and body guy not a mechanic so apologies ahead of time for not being the sharpest tool :).im considering finding a c5 or c6 donor for the suspension and drivetrain ...any suggestions, tips, or pros and cons of doing so would be great. i dont mind a good low stance but i dont wanna be draggin. the truck will be a weekend cruiser/trailer hauler.the ls swap shouldnt be too big a deal im more concerned with the suspension conversion..rearend widths?? best donor years???  anything to get me started would be appreciated....
