1987 R10 305 4spd manual 4x4. No pulse to injectors. So far I have purchased new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new fuel pump relay, completely new distributor, and new computer. Verified power at both ecm fuses and verified the fuses are good. Overriding the relay, forces the fuel pump to run and provides fuel pressure at the injectors however will not spray. 9 volt battery applied to injectors produces good spray from both injectors and allows the engine to run but only until the initial sprayed fuel is burnt. I have no check engine light at all, and I pulled the instrument panel apart and verified the actual bulb for check engine light is good. I'm lost! July 08, 2025, 12:27:25 pm by Rapid Roy
Views: 306 | Comments: 5 Planning to replace the Carter Q-jet soon. Wanting to replace with new. Have not purchased new before, only had rebuild. Is there anything special needed to be done prior to install? TIA July 02, 2025, 10:17:00 pm by philo_beddoe
Views: 362 | Comments: 2 Curious, what problems/symptoms could occur from a clogged up rear diff. vent tube? July 02, 2025, 06:56:09 pm by Happytexan | Views: 431 | Comments: 5
Hello all. This is my first post on the forum. Truck data first: 1974 C10 Cheyenne super, factory 454, factory a/c still working (with an issue), th400, 2wd, factory 3:73 12 bolt out back. the a/c blows ice cold but only blows on high. That was the only issue with the a/c until I remounted the recirc door actuator someone had left dangling so they could install kick panels with speakers now the recirc door operates as it should, but it still only blows on high and it stops blowing after 10~20 minutes, then will start blowing again if I turn the a/c off and back on. Sounds like a circuit breaker to me, but I can’t find one. I have replaced the resistor, blower relay, and blower motor. Not firing the parts cannon, just freshening things up while I’m in there. Side note, key on engine off, the blower blows on low speed like it should. As soon as I slide the mode switch from off to a/c it stops blowing, if it’s acting up. Is there a circuit breaker for the blower motor I’m not seeing? Do I need to pull the hvac control panel and dive into that? I greatly appreciate your time and help. ![]() July 01, 2025, 09:06:54 am by ehjorten
Views: 773 | Comments: 11 So I went to start my '77 K20 the other day. I haven't driven it much lately and it has just been sitting. When I went to start it, the key wouldn't rotate out of the Off position. It would freely rotate to the ACC position and the radio would come on. It feels like the cylinder would move, but the rod linking the cylinder to the ignition switch is bound up or something. It all worked fine the last time I drove it. Any suggestions? I know I probably have to lower the column, but maybe something simple I am not thinking about? Pages: [1]
