10 bolt front, wheel bearing fitment
« on: January 06, 2019, 02:23:24 PM »
Are 10 bolt front wheel bearings supposed to be press or slip fit? I spun a bearing on the spindle so it was toast. Took a spindle off another axle, started installing new bearing and.. its just slid on. Tried it on the other side spindle and it just slid on it too. It it very tight slip fit so it doesn't move around, but I would assume its press fit but I have two good looking slip fit spindles. Outer races were press fit.

No, If they were pressed on how would you R&R the rotor?

Goddamnit. I've disassembled and reassembled 10 bolt hubs a dozen times and I've never had this "problem" before  ;D must have been too excited about the new hydraulic press and wanting to press in everything hahah.

Well it's good to have easy and non-expensive solutions to problems for change.
