goin to the exhaust shop friday

Well I've screwed around with my exhaust for long enough and I'm tired or leaks and it being so loud so its going in the shop friday! He is bending me all new pipes from the headers back. Going to run 2.5 off each header(reduced from 3in) the y together into a single 3in into my "cat" theb into a cherrybomb vortex muffler that I have and run two tails just turned down past the axle. Atleast now it will be toned down some and I will not have to worry when inspection time comes. The best of all not worry about the exhaust falling off when I play in the snow this winter lol. Ill post pics and videos prob next monday or tuesday! Droping the truck off friday morning and this weekend is my anaversary and I will not be picking the truck up till monday.

Awesome, I wish that I could have found somebody that would have built my exhaust without the, uh, you know, that one piece that goes right in front of the muffler. I made it myself but I would have gladly paid that and more to have it done.

Well I have a cat on mine its one of those enay thunderbolt cats and last winter when it was apart for the new motor the exhaust layed on the ground and when I gotr it running It wasn't running right and I gutted thw cat and found a mice nest in it! When I took it to rhe shop the shell of the cat was on it. I know the guy and I sent him a email later telling him aboiut the cat so hopefully he will just weld it up and not pay attention to it. I have nothing againt running a cat but right now the money is the issue!

Yeah I went true duals after I put headers on and I certainly wasn't going to pony up the cash for two of them, and no shop in town would touch it without them. I just finally got my exhaust welded up and got rid of the flex pipes last weekend and I'm liking it with dual glasspacks. Not having the leaks from clamped fittings made a huge difference in the way it runs too.

I argued with my guy back and forth, he was all for doing it w/o the cat, but insisted my truck was a 75 ( for the paperwork ) Then I told him that it was a heavy half and it never had one from the factory. I won either way, but at least we agreed I was right

I'd put antique plates on it after the first of the year but I drive it a lot and I haul with it and they bust people bad at the local land fill.

I know your buying something for her on her anniversary, but you should not leave her in the shop all weekend.  I tried that I am still hearing about it!

Haha well I sold my 82 trans am as a roller last weekend for $350 and that's what's going to cover me getting my exhaust done otherwise she would have it lol. When the guy paid me for the car at first she said "good we can use that to buy paint for the house" lol I said no and had to explain but whatever is left over goes towards paint though :/.

Well I went and picked up my truck this morning and I can say I love it! it sounds just how I wanted it and the workmanship is awsome! Its very bassy deep and kinda quiet at idle but really talks to you under load and tames up during cruise! Ill try and get some pictures up this week but we are moving this coming weekend and I already unhooked our wireless internet so all I have all week or maybe more is my blackberry or if I get a chance ill go by my moms and use her computer and upload some pics/videos.
