Well I bought this truck for $500 about 20 miles down the road. It was sitting in a yard rotting away, the guy had another parts truck too. I gave him $500 for this truck and some body parts off the 77' K-10. Well, it has a 350/350, the original build sheet under the seat, all paperwork, and its all original. It is color code 25/20(Mariner Blue Metallic/Lite Blue). The biggest rust spot suprisingly is in the pic behind the rear wheel. It has 8.75/16.5LT rims on it, I painted them black and have 4 new tires. It is at my High school Auto class where I go in the mornings. Tomarrow I am going to put the egr block off on, mount the new Edelbrock 600cfm carb, & set the timing. This week I am checking the brakes, putting four new tires on and it should be on the road. It is alot of fun and the aftermarket support and help for these trucks is rediculous. I hope to stick around and soak up the knowledge of you truck veterans.

Haha, reminds me of when I got my truck when I was 16 or so. You'll learn alot from these beasts. Half of my car know how came from my '82. I know it looks like a lot to fix up, but look at some of mine and other guys restoration jobs, it'll show you that the sky's the limit with these trucks.
And hey I'm in my high schools auto shop as well! I love that class, it's like a club that everyone else wishes they where a part of.
Anyways, If you need any help, drop a post.
P.S.: That's a HUGE tach!

The tach is out, it came with the truck. Its an automatic so its not needed, I did get a smaller tach in there. It is alot cleaner now, inside and out. Next up is body work, its not as bad as it looks. It is just surface rust. The only hole is behind the rear wheel in the pic. I want to get in painted mariner blue metallic/frost white.

Isn't it strange how some cars can just sit and sit in the weather and not rust away, yet there are those which are cared for to some degree and they just totally rust out. I can never figure that one out.

Yeah, it is strange. This sat in a yard all its life down in salty weather and has a little rust hole. Im relieved its not much work to do body wise. Its in fairly good shape for the year. It runs good too, drove it home the day I bought it.

I see you are in Ocean City. I'm on another forum where there is a guy who owns Awesome Engines. Seems to really know his stuff. Hear of it at all?

No, I've never heard of him. Where is he at? It must be small because I know of all the engine shops around here. Or better yet do you know his name?
