website upgrade/move
« on: September 29, 2011, 12:10:32 AM »
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that we are going to be moving the website to a new server sometime soon.  If you drop by and the forum is not accessible and you can't order this is most likely what is going on.  I will try to post and update to this so everyone will know when.

Also, once moved, I plan to be moving to a new forum software, not sure when that will happen, but it is planned.  It will be XenForo.

Will we have to do anything different than now, or just log back in and all will be good ?

you want have to do anything.  They were supposed to let me know prior to them doing it but they did it last night.  So you don't have to do anything....  It should also be a little faster...

Ok, I just updated the forum to the newest SMF software.  There are a few features missing but it is REALLY late so I am going to work on them as I can.  Just not tonight.

If you find something important, make a post in the General discussion under the topic Features missing after upgrade.

I just added Facebook integration to the site.  You can now associate your ID with your facebook account if you have one....
Just go to Profiles and then Account Settings -> Facebook to associate it.

And the Gallery is back..

Not that it was that big of deal but what I noticed missing was it told you how long you had been on line with this forum, something I have not seen on any other forum I belong to... that I notice anyway...

I like the look and feel of this layout better. Anyway to increase the file attachment size?
