(69)73-91 Pickup and Blazer Console Identification
« on: November 16, 2013, 11:40:10 AM »

There were 3 different consoles offered in the 73-87(91) trucks and Blazers.
Here they are side by side:

The 73-87 version used the following bracket

1969-76 style:
This version has a logo at the back and in the front was a slot for the seat belt buckles along with the ash tray.

1977-80 style:
This version was identical to the 69-76 style EXCEPT the front portion now had cup holder openings and a slot for possibly loose change as it wasn't very large

1981-1991 Style:
This version is completely different and larger than the previous ones.  They are larger and at the front the cup holders are now sqare with a long rectangle slot in front.  It also uses a removable limit strap to keep the door from falling backward, but can be removed to make another rear set of cup holders when flipped backwards.  It also has a cardboard liner inside and the lid has a locking latch that matches the door key.
