Center console on 87
« on: March 22, 2016, 04:09:12 PM »
New to the forums, but information found here has been instrumental in helping me figure out how to do the bench to bucket conversion.

That being said, I was able to get some nice bucket seats and console off Craigslist, and am ready to start the installation. I was able to get the front, inner mounts from a donor, as suggested here, and I believe I have everything, with one exception, which is the mounting stuff for the console.

Could someone confirm whether there is a steel bracket that mounts between the bottom of the console and the floor?

It does not seem like one would be needed, but a search of this console showed a picture of one that had a small mounting bracket.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Scott

Yes there is a steel bracket that mounts to the floor first, then the console mounts to the bracket
