Pulled my dash pad back out and refreshed it with some new color (same color just new coats). Then I completed the cluster, bezel, and the trim that goes on the door threshold. Before I started the rebuild I had an after market aluminum and went back to the black plastic OEM style. Some time ago I had my shifter knob stolen and when I could not find the OEM replacement, I ordered a custom made knob with the shifter pattern engraved on it. It is basically an engraved pool ball. I installed a battery tender (Charger/Maintainer).

Thanks, I have to get my horn fixed and a few other things. However, it is very close to driving again.

Thanks! Ran into a problem that was a little strange and an easy fix.

Symptoms: Marker lights on front fender would not work at all, both turn signal indicators on gauge cluster stay lite (solid - no flashing), front running lights/turn signals that are located in front bumper stay on when headlights turned on (OK), front running lights/turn signals both flashed when one was turned on.

Solution/Fix: Remove the 1156 light bulbs and install 1157 light bulbs. Was relieved my wiring was not the problem because I did replace wires and sockets in the harness. Having the wrong bulb installed can cause many problems.

Been looking for a good salvage yard bumper without luck. My bumper is an 81-82 only! My original OEM bumper that came with my truck was painted white and my rear bumper was painted a Navy grey. My trucks original color was a light (baby) blue. I got a front chrome bumper some time ago from a salvage yard but it has a few small rust spots that I can get rid of with steel wool, but they come back later. So I decided to go ahead and repaint my bumper to match my paint and also refinished the supports/brackets to mount it. Perhaps later I will get a chrome one.

Installed my front bumper. At first had some problems getting it lined up for all the bolts. Still have to install the wind deflector on the bottom, but that is no big deal. I have to spend a little time on another truck to make some repairs prior to getting back on my 81 K10.
