Routing Exhaust
« on: July 24, 2020, 07:32:03 PM »
Hey guys! I’m just got a new exhaust system put on my truck, and I have a hitch on my truck as well, so the routing of the tailpipes has been in question. I had them go around the hitch, but it runs into the spring shackle and just looks dumb with the way it is right now. I don’t really wanna go with turning them out behind the tires, so does anybody have any idea as to where I can have them place the tailpipes and make it look good?

And theater of the mind is great n all but how about a picture of what's going on? So your tailpipes exit straight back but are hitting the shackles or the shackle mount?

It isn’t letting me post the pictures I have... but it isn’t hitting the spring schedule itself, there’s just not enough room between the spring shackle and the hitch I have on the truck. I wanted the tips to come straight out the back but it just doesn’t look right the way it is right now and I’m not sure what else to do.

Thats the way I want mine ran, but the way the guy I had do it, just doesn’t look good. I’m going to take it back and see what he says about it, but do you have a picture of yours so I can give him an idea of how I want it done?

Thank you! That’s about how I want it I just want the tips to come out to the edge of the bumper. My truck is the same color orange, just trying to make this thing look right, and the way the tailpipes come out right now just doesn’t look the greatest.

This is what mine looks like, I can’t really get a good picture of the whole truck, but you can see the issue I’m running in to!

Normally I prefer to make a 90° or a 45° after the axle but on this one I wanted to see how it would look going straight back. I still haven't put the tips on since I've been so busy, but I ended them there because I planned on putting tips on the ends.

Your pics are hard to see where they are hitting but from what I can see, it doesn't look like they did a stellar job. Bring it back and tell them you want the tailpipes fixed so they don't hit. It also looks like they crushed the pipe.
