84 gmc stepside- window wiring
« on: January 07, 2021, 04:09:45 PM »
HI ,
I have been totally re storing a 84 step side GMC.   New wiring harness does not come with power window wiring( who knew)

Therefore I have been studying the diagram attached.

I don't understand the driver door switch.   I don't have 2 tan wires coming out of that switch.  One for each door.   How do I work around this and whats the easiest way to feed new wiring through the door jam into the cab?

Thank you.

You are showing a power window circuit modified to utilize relays and it is unnecessary. Take a look here:

Hi Everyone-
Need help with the window wiring.   I am trying to wire the windows per the below attachment. It shows 2 tan wires coming out of the drivers window switch.  I only have one.  Therefore, where or how do I resolve the new wiring of the window switches with the relays that are shown on this diagram with one tan wire.  I have the other motor wires cut and re wired and power wires done but I am a bit confused on the 2 tan wires and how that works

Thank you.
