Interior is almost 100%.  For some reason I only zip tied half the ac hoses and they popped off.  Got the door rain rails on and the trim around back off t the cab on.  Alright, I’m the dry now.

Drivers side vent window is horrible, But the Drivers side window sticks out, doesn’t line up with the guide.  I put three washers on the bottom two bolts to help it. Will try the upper bolts this weekend.  The guide is all loose.

Anyways, anybody have this type of trouble?

Hear yea Shifty, no wonder these vents are a thing of the past.

I saw online the other day that passenger vent window assembly was no longer back ordered, but not the drivers side.  Both are back ordered again.

Shims on three washers on the window crank helped get the alignment better.  The crank is super loose and floppy. I’ll probably put the original back in since I have new rollers to fix it.  The original is really stiff.  I replaced it because it was slipping gears, but cleaning it up it seems to work fine now.

The extra issue is the door trim.  The drivers side measures from the window to the inside edge 1/4” further than the passenger side. Passenger side fits nice and snug against the door. Drivers side sticks out 1/4”.  I had pushed it in, discovered that the extra pressure puts the window out of alignment.  I’ve got it sticking back out again and window works okay now.  Sigh, maybe I should have sprung for the expensive trim.  Oh well I’ll fix it eventually, good enough for now!

Replacing the leaf springs to bring her back to stock height. Bilstein shocks, they seem like they should be longer, but that’s stock size for the truck apparently.

Drivers side done, passenger side remaining. Happy with the new height so far.

Discovered passenger front shock, Rough Country, was bad.  I’m sure that has something to do with the poor handling.  Geez, only 700 miles…

About 25 years ago I noticed the new rear shocks that were supposed to fit my 77 were too short for what I need. The Geezer came with 9 leafs in the rear, 5 in the front. When I drove over a hump in the road the rear shocks limited upward suspension travel causing the rear to lift off the road, very rough ride when empty. I rotated the rear shock mounts on the axle for 2-3 more inch travel upward. The ride is still very stiff when unloaded, but doesn't beat you nearly as much going over humps in the road. It also handles much better with the rear tires on the pavement.

So far so good. I think the drive train vibration that happened at highway speed is gone with the stock lift also. It drives really nice now.

Transmission shop removed the temperature bypass valve in front of the front cooler that I had put in and cleaned up the hoses big time. The TH350 doesn’t need it.

About two hours work away from moving onto more cleanup stuff. Not really much left, woohoo!

Nice to see a project come in to the space where the owner envisioned... 8)

Just found out that my K10 Short bed step side was fitted for a camper spring option from the factory.  ;) ;) ;)

Wonder if that contributes to the 'stiff' ride...?

There is pry a spec sheet on how many leaf springs should be there... :)
