Figuring Rear Drop

Hey guys,

I have an 87 C10 (R10), the previous owner did a bang up job buy heating the old springs and then flipped it.

I just did 3" Drop Spindles in the 2" drop springs in the front, I am trying to figure out what to do in the back for new leafs. Wanting it to be level and note sure what new leafs to get. whether it be 2" drop leafs and then flip it with a shackle? IF that will be level for the front,

I can figure the geometry, considering it be 2" drop leaf without the flip and what it would equate to after the flip

Any help would be great?????

 Not really on a major budget. Just trying to figure out what to do for the rear leafs, the front is 5” of drop between the spindle and springs. To make it level from my research it looks like I need to do a drop of 6” if it were at factory ride height.

Right now it ha a flip on it but the previous owner heated up the spring and bent it. I will attach a picture.

What I am thinking is get a 2” drop leaf and because it is flipped I could probably sit level with a oe shackle. But I am seconding guessing the math

Sounds like some new leaves and the axle flip will do the trick. Adjustable shackles may be needed as well.

So the flip kit leveled out the back with the 5” front. Any recommendations on a replacement rear leafs? Seeing those pictures I am leaning to trying to find some oe replacements and just flip and shackle.

My thought process was a 3” drop leaf in the back with a flip would take me down in the back 6ish” bringing it level. But it seems just the flip and shackle does the job.
