Old school aluminum slot wheel locks
« on: June 11, 2021, 04:00:59 PM »
McGard has discontinued the 9/16-18 thread long shank wheel locks that I have used for years. Does anyone know of a source for quality wheel locks for the old school aluminum slots? I have 4 on the wheels holding the truck off the ground, looking to have a set of 5 to secure my spare wheel also.

That's because they are pointless. I can take off any wheel lock you have in the same amount of time it takes to use a regular socket. Anyway, if you google "long shank wheel lock 9/16" you will find them.

Point well taken Vile, however not every one wanting an obsloete wheel/tire is as talented or prepared as you. I'd sure like to have 5 locks keyed the same & they are only sold as a set of 4. I'd like to know how McGard proposes to honor "guaranteed for life not to chip, peel or rust". Maybe your google is better than mine, I don't get any resuts that are in stock, for sale, lots of lug nuts, no long shank 9/16/18 locks.
