Np208 input shaft

Hi I am in the process of a 6.0/4l80e/np208 swap in my 1984 K20. I have an np208 but it's the 27 spline version not the 32 that I need. I can't seem to find anywhere online that has a 32 spline shaft for sale and I asked my Trans shop and they told me $295 CAD + freight. why are these so hard to find? And so expensive? They made lots of these and are a normal replacement part no?
