No power at ignition
« on: June 08, 2022, 06:58:31 AM »
New to C10's and desperate for help. '84 C10 that was originally 305/350, 3 speed on the column. PO converted to 350/350, automatic on the floor, but did not swap column. They bypassed NSS and from the beginning the truck would sometimes not get power to ignition. I replaced the ignition switch and verified good connection on bypass wires for NSS. What would be some good troubleshooting steps to take? I've heard to check fusable links, but not sure where to look. Any help is much appreciated!

Do yourself a favor and connect a P/N switch. The reason they put things like this in is important. As far as troubleshooting, use a test light and see if you are getting B+ at the s terminal during cranking.
