Broken Air Vent Studs

(1/1)

Jon87V20:
I was trying to remove my dash pad in my '87 Suburban Silverado recently and got a bit careless. I didn't realize the vent ducting was held up against the openings with these little plastic studs and nuts. They broke off and fell out. What can I do about this? I haven't really stuck my head up in there yet but is there a replaceable part around the vent that I can get? I don't think glue would be a viable option for this.

JohnnyPopper:
Bummer hate that!

I wouldn't write off the industrial glue they sell now.

It comes with surface prep juice, and best of all, white or black pixie dust that you apply after your initial plant of the item.

It powders on the crack, and when you apply a drop, it hardens instantly, bonding to everything it touches.

Rinse and repeat on the rest of the cracks, building up a really tough bonding agent.

I bought a kit pry 5 years ago at a car show from 'thegluesmith.com' it has saved my bacon many times since.

The vendor had samples of hardened pixie that had been drilled through!!
