Heater/AC Switch

Hey guys, I am the proud owner of a 73 C10 Shortbed. It is all original with a 350/350, and factory air. It even came with original rally wheels! I'm just waiting on new tires before I can throw them on the truck. That is about the extent of my mechanical knowledge of this pickup. To be honest I'm really just a fan of the look of these trucks and I'm hoping to become at least somewhat proficient with a wrench.
So far I've done a complete tune-up including cap/roter, wires, plugs, air filter, breather filter, fuel filter, thermostat, oil/oil filter, and I flushed and replaced the coolant. She is purring like a kitten!!
Now for my question... I just ordered a new heater/ac switch since the original one doesn't work in the "high" position. Is this an easy install? Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. Thank you all for the valuable information within this forum!

I do believe the replacement switches differ slightly for the 73 and 74 models from the oem one. just be careful with the trim and disconnect the cable first so you don't break anything. Aside from that it's pretty easy to do. Congrats on the truck by the way

Pretty straight forward change, was the switch for a 73-74?

This is the switch that I ordered. I hope it's the right one.

If it's just the fan switch then yes that should work.

When I put the switch in the high position the fan doesn't blow. All the other positions work fine.

If the truck is equipped with A/C check the relay on the evaporator housing in the engine compartment.
