Alright so now I have 2 toys. First is my 1998 K1500 that is about to getting to sit for a while until the money gets saved up for 900 dollars in taxes and title penalties. After that it finally get the trans pump put in and new valve seals. I'll get some pics and go from there.
Next is my new favorite. The 98 is for a daily driver but this one, the 80 is the one I have been trying to get ever since I saw it 4 years ago. It is no diamond, but its fairly clean for all original body-wise. It is a 1980 K-10 longbed TH350 NP205 with an AC cab and floorboards... thats kinda new to me, sorry.The guy that had it bought it to drive, drove it for a month, and the trans died on him. He runs demolition cars and is using the engine for one of those. I went and asked him what the plan was for the carcus, he said its getting hauled to the smasher in his next couple loads and then asked me what I would charge him to overhaul his 305 backup derby motor... I told him to sign the truck over and let me work on it at his place. Now its mine. He also had a GM crate 350 with about 50,000 mile on it sitting from another truck. He stole the oil pan and gave me the rest. I have a rebuilt TH350 and his NP205 so I'm gonna fix it up to use for hunting and stock class at the local truck pulls. This one I have not even touched, so the pictures will truly be some nice before photos.
