Title: Found a possible new project
Post by: JohnnyPopper on July 14, 2022, 07:24:39 PM
Hey guys and gals,

What do you think of this specimen?

Supposes to be a Cali truck, must have lived at the beach

Going to meet with the owner this weekend.

Looks who's truck photo bombed the shoot... ::)

If I do another Square Body, it will probably be a Blazer.

Other than the wheels, I'd rock it just like that  8)

I agree VZ, would probably do a flat/semi clear coat.

He's negotiable on the price, any idea on what to offer?

Does it run? How bad is the interior?

First blush, 8k max from me...

More pics.

Cat missing, rest of smog is there, air injected headers.

For the right price I would buy it!

That's what I'm trying to figure out, the 'right' price.

I was under the impression that 'K' series denoted a 4x4.

This is a 2WD.

The right price? Here is the deal! Edit: K-5s can be 4x4 or 2WD

1) Prices vary in different parts of the country
2) K5s (Blazer) is getting more difficult to find and prices are going up fast
3) Condition is everything and it is more difficult to find an unmolested one in good shape and little rust
4) Finding one that runs and drives well is even more rare
5) The right price is what you can afford and what you feel comfortable with
6) Ask yourself, if it was your Blazer, What would you sell it for?
7) Don't wait too long to decide because if it is a good deal, there is always someone else looking for one.

Might get the seller to come down on the price if it is a 2WD and you don't care about getting a 4x4.

Thanks Mike, I had him drive it around, sounded good, shifted well.

I don't know if this is for me, but I have a guy interested in my K10, will pass it on to him.

This is an easy pass for you. Cool truck but move on.

Personally, I would want it to be a 4x4!

I'm fixing up a 1983 K20 but back in the day I owned a 1983 K5 Blazer. I wish I still had it!

Forget it.
