Zieg, Easy to get a title. Get a police check and go to your local court house and tell the clerk you want to file for a title in small claims court. It cost like 37.00 to do it. The judge will force the DMV to issue you a title.

Sounds easy, I'll give it a try if my offer flies.  Thanks!!!

Well............. ;D

I haven't pressed the issue.  My father in law feels my offer is gonna be too low but I haven't asked him if he presented the offer or not.  I may contact him tomorrow...

Your father in law might be surprised, they might accept it cause they just want it gone.

Well good luck!! I picked up another dually that I will be scaping the cab from and thought if you need something from it before it goes to the crusher. I'll save some parts for you if you need anything from it.

update... haven't heard anything yet either way.  As my father-in-law says, it isn't going anywhere...  I have been concentrating on getting the garage ready to bed down my extended cab for the winter and spent the day stripping my 91 Suburban, hoping the scrap man can come tomorrow to haul it off.  I have the week off for vacation so lots to do...

Good luck with the vacation man, I end up with a list of jobs that "have" to come before I get office time!

Well............... At the family Christmas gathering I got to talk to my father-in-law a bit and upped the ante.  I did find out what they have in it and I am no way going to give that even with a clear title, just ain't a gonna happen...  Maybe if the TBI was still in tact but it was all removed and the hack job was not good at all... all done by the previous owner.

That is too bad, but sounds like you would have to do a lot of work engine wise, and sounds like they want too much money for it.

Don't know, they think it is gold I guess...  It is still sitting... It was a TBI originally I think but it is a hack job for sure.   I may revisit this down the road but my parts shed is taking my time at the moment.
