Instrument gauge bulbs
« on: September 03, 2018, 09:07:39 PM »
Some of my bulbs are shot and the others seem really dim.  Is There a led bulb that can replace the old original bulb, and if so where can I get them

there is LED bulbs but you have to make sure you have the right bulb sockets. the bulbs themselves are 194 or around those numbers. sometimes you have to buy the "twist lock" base separately.

you can use something like
https://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Pcs-White-PC194-For-GM-1-2-Hole-Twist-Lock-T10-Instrument-Panel-Dash-Led-Bulb-/371732812056if

if the bulbs dont work one way try flipping them around as some LEDs are directional also make sure theyre dimmable

I just installed some of these LEDs in the dash of my '78.  Brighter than the stock ones, bluish tint to lighting.  $7 for 10, shipping included.  They also work for side marker lights.
