stake pockets would probably be more visible to anyone behind you on the road.

Your truck looks good bro.  I agree, it would look even better with some huge tires in the back.

Have you thought about a rollpan with tail lights in the rollpan?

I do like the looks of a rollpan but I was wanting to keep my bumper and do some custom taillights.

Love it man. What kind of gauges did you use?

Looks awesome.

Thanks man! The guages are autometer sportcomp guages.

Thanks. I will have to look into those. Nice bumper work too. My '86 has a nasty gap too. Constaly have to wipe off the black from the exhaust, cause my pipes dont come out that far.

Great work.

I had this done at a local show. They would take your picture when you came through the gate and then photoshop it ever how you wanted it. I thought I would share it with you.

I decided to put my taillights in the stake pockets so today I moved the bumper up almost 2" closer to the tailgate. It turned in to a harder job than I expected. I thought all I would have to do was drill a couple of holes, I was wrong! Not only did I drill new holes I had to trim more off the brackets and notch the rear of the bed for the brackets so the bed would sit down. When I was finished it had a 3/8" gap I was very pleased  ;D Sorry about that one picture being dark I will get another tomorrow and repost it.

That look really good! Are you going to do the same to the front and narrow it a little? I've seen this done a couple of times and looks good also.

I would like to narrow both bumpers and rechrome them but I will proably leave them alone and use that money for something else right now. Maybe in the future I will do that. Heres a better picture of the rear.

Will your tailgate still drop down with no problems?

The bumper looks great.  I may have to do something like that with the one I just ordered.
