Shift kit questions
« on: March 10, 2014, 11:35:54 AM »
I was wondering if any of y'all have a shift kit in your automatic transmissions. I Have a 76 Chevy K20 and the transmission is being rebuilt within the next month. My ford came with a stage 2 but I don't know what brand it was. I like a firm shift, but nothing that will break my neck. What do you guys recommend?

'Stage-2' Transgo here as well in my TH400. 20 plus years and not one single problem with it.

Hey guys can a transgo shift kit be put in wrong. I have a rebuilt 700r4 put in my 75c10 and they added a shift kit. I have been trying to get the shift point better by adjusting the tv cable. but the best I can get I end up with a really hard 1-2 and the rest of the shifts are almost too soft and too early. I'm curious if something is off. I have 2800 stall converter on it too. thanks fellas.

I have a comp cam, unsure of the specs but it is mild for sure. 4.10 gears in rear with 30" tall tires. 700r4, corvette servo. hey can the springs be changed to adjust shift points or is this due to the shift kit? I am just learning all this, thanks so much for the help.
