Window Regulator Springs
« on: April 20, 2009, 11:05:36 AM »
My passneger window was going up and down slower than snails, I have a few doors off of a 90 Burban and I switched everything over to my 85 C10.  Of course everything bolted right up and the window goes up and down now at the pace of snails, but not as quick as I'd like.  I noticed the tension spring on the regulator was rusted and before I put it in the door I put rust eater on it to clean some of the rust off then sprayed Lithium grease on it. This helped but obviously not enough, is there a way to remove the spring to sand all the rust off then be able to but it back on with same amount of tension?  THX

Not very likely.
