Window motors
« on: June 20, 2009, 09:57:04 PM »

Looking to find out where I can buy QUALITY replacement window motors for my '82 GMC.  I purchase some from   just over 2 years ago and they are toast.  Want to go with the 1 piece window conversion kit and get rid of the vents.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

How are your window tracks and hardware? Are they well lubricated?
I just put grease in the tracks and sprayed the arms/joints with WD-40 as well as sprayed every joint on the lock mechanisms and they both work like a dream.
Although I did find out that the drivers door doesnt have window motor and tracks when I was wiring the doors up  >:(

the one piece windows look awesome but i wouldnt put that on my truck unless they had a better NON GLUED on weather seal on the door.. maybe make a oe reproduction but longer... go to the dealer and buy a set of ac delco ones. if you dont like the price go aftermarket and relace them what every 2 years?
