Better have a spare vehicle just in case...dead truck + mad wife=deadly combo :-[
this is why i try to keep 4 vehicles on the road at all times. this way even if one goes up and funds arnt there i can still risk loosing another vehicle and theres no rush to fix the broken vehicle on the weekend or call offs from work

Oh yeah right there with you. My wife’s car is a 2014 Fusion and I have my F350 and the burban and my F350 are the floater vehicles because my company provides me with a take home truck. Her car is always in tip top shape but if anything goes wrong with the F350 or the suburban it can sit for weeks until I get to it.

When I say road trip I mean more like a Sunday drive for 5 or 6 hours within an hour of the farm.

How do the cylinders look? Ridge, scoring?

Hopefully the shop runs a straight edge to see if they were warped.

Shop said heads were sent to the machine shop to get decked yesterday. No scoring or warping on the cylinders. They just sent these two pictures over.

I figured I would have to clean everything up myself once I got it back so I was very surprised to see this.

The collective sigh of relief..................What a nice feeling that is!

So we take it that the heads were warped and leakage occurred?

Good job man! Crack an adult beverage for all of us and enjoy the weekend!  8)

Yeah one head was warped but I had them both decked just to be safe.  Now she stays right at 180 so it is a huge sigh of relief.

Now to turn my focus on the transmission and then to the cosmetics. I will throw a couple back for everyone here.

I hope you enjoy your weekend and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
